Data Scientist - Remote – Up to £75K
This innovative, fast-growing, Tech company is seeing rapid global adoption of their tech products and to keep up with all their exciting projects they are looking for a forward-thinking Data Scientist with an analytical eye and creative flare.
The successful Data Scientist will contribute to the design, development and deployment of Data Science function, and utilise techniques from data science, AI, statistics and computer science to analyse and process natural language (text) data. You will participate in the development of AI – Intelligent Design Platforms that aims to assist businesses and other organisations in designing inclusive job descriptions.
The Data Scientist responsibilities will include:
Support tasks involving extraction, cleansing, association, modelling, inference and visualisation of natural language (text) data
Develop Natural Language Processing (NLP) tools with text retrieval capabilities for supporting end users when creating inclusive job descriptions
Analyse data to discover patterns in text data and develop and apply innovative natural language processing algorithms
Validate new or improved models using suitable performance evaluation metrics and statistically relevant experiments
Utilise techniques for evaluating how inclusive job adverts are and their suitability for attracting a diverse range of applicants
Work closely with software engineers to build scalable prototypes for testing, and participate in the integration of the models and algorithms in our existing system
Using tools such as Python, spaCy and AWSDevelop
Experience and requirements:
Experience (classroom/work) in Machine learning, Natural Language Processing, Data Science, applied mathematics, or Data Mining
You will be able to apply your relevant experience working on data-intensive projects to the work we undertake
Experience in programming languages, preferably Python
Experience with deep learning, machine learning and NLP frameworks such as PyTorch (or TensorFlow), HuggingFace Transformer, Scikit-learn
Ability to communicate openly, think creatively, collaborate, and influence a range of stakeholders to drive delivery and solve technically challenging problems
Comfortable with a broad range of technologies and keen to implement cutting edge solutions
