A creative content production company are looking for a Drupal Tech Lead to join their team. The UK digital department scopes, designs and delivers engaging and high quality online experiences for global brands. We work in collaboration with creative and strategic agency partners to create meaningful digital communications aimed at a global customer base. Hogarth Digital is a team of experts looking for an enthusiastic technical lead for the UK oversight team. About You

You should have an in-depth knowledge of current and emerging Drupal technologies and are equally versed in theming and backend development practices. This role would be best suited to someone who understands best coding practices and can communicate these to your colleagues and fellow project members. You should be embedded in the Drupal community, contributing to community projects, attending (and preferably) hosting community events.

The Role

As a Drupal Technical Lead, you will report directly to the Head of Technology, lead large-scale implementations, utilising Drupal and other open source platform tools. Providing both oversight and hands on contributions to the software design, development and integration process, Technical Leads are expected to take the Team Lead role and assure the technical quality of projects. You will have the opportunity to mentor new developers, work with delivery stakeholder and support pre-sales team as needed.

Strong communication skills, including the ability to listen, understand, advocate and persuade are essential as you will be managing teams of skilled developers across the globe in a remote fashion. You will work with Hogarth and partner organisations to define the optimum technical approach for client projects and ceaselessly promote best practice, quality and craft in your code and the code of those you lead.

You will manage a team of highly skilled developers ranging from Graduate to Senior level, implementing and maintaining development practices, running meetings and workshops that ensure the growth, motivation and continued development of the team, and ultimately take

  • Proven experience with multiple development frameworks

  • Experience with cloud based providers such as AWS and Azure

  • Experience with Cloud9

  • Virtualisation – Vagrant, Docker or similar
